This protected Qing Dynasty building is called the “Gao Yin Study Hall.”We drew inspiration from the crisscrossing land and water transportation network of the ancient town of Panglong, and used “QIANMO” as the design theme , engaging the historic architecture through contemporary design vocabulary.Crisscrossing lines recreate the town's transportation network,while the large areas of white space reflect a contemporary aesthetic mood.We use minimal intervention to preserve the original appearance of the building and innovate in heritage. Where scholars once read, tea aromas now linger.
